This new format series for Fox Networks debuted on October 13th, 2018. The much-anticipated premiere was broadcast simultaneously on 11 channels, Fox, Fox Life, Fox Rewayat, Fox Family, Fox Crime, Fox Movies, FX, Fox Action, National Geographic, Star Movies and Star World, while also being streamed live on Facebook and YouTube.
Adrian Ferry of All Go Audio was selected to be part of the team for the production which was being orchestrated by Electric Films. He was requested to provide a full service solution with every aspect from radio communications solutions to all multi-track location recordings. All audio systems on the production were specifically sourced for their unique features and also setup in a way which could enable the capture of all audio from the riders as well as providing 2-way communications between themselves and the production crew. In order to aid the post-production process, this solution was also done in a manner which kept the recordings in sync with all other simultaneous time-coded recordings from location in real-time.
As well as facing challenges in post-production being the Sound Designer and Dubbing Mixer for this series, I can tell you that with respect to location recording, trying to record dialogue in the open air while throttling down a highway and having two dozen growling Harley Davidson’s along side us had its challenges for our team… However as expected, we always got it on tape!
